GODORT's Education Committee is hoping that you will be willing to share Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) success stories. Specifically, we are looking for ways the FDLP services and/or collections have aided your library or academic institution.

Your response does not need to be lengthy-just a paragraph or two; however, longer responses are welcome. Some possible topics include:

    ·         Designing programming that promotes government information (which is especially important as we are inundated with misinformation and disinformation)

    ·         Participation in GPO programs and preservation projects (for example, https://www.fdlp.gov/about/partnerships)

    ·         Collection management decisions that helped your library remain in the FDLP, including transitioning from print to all-digital selections

    ·         Participation in the Cataloging Records Distribution Program (https://home.marcive.com/cataloging-record-distribution-project/)

    ·         Utilizing FDLP training/educational resources to improve staff knowledge and subject expertise

    ·         Stories about past successes because of your library's participation in the FDLP

    ·         Descriptions about future plans for your library's participation in the FDLP

    ·         How access to government information provided for free via the FDLP strengthens democracy

We are eager to promote your successes in the FDLP. Responses can be e-mailed to me at stamatki@uga.edu, preferably by the end of May 2023. If you have any questions, please contact me directly.

    Thank you!
