The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    Summer, ALA Annual, and our GODORT 50th Anniversary celebration are just around the corner and now is a great time to get more involved with GODORT! New committees will be seated after Annual and we are currently recruiting new GODORT committee members. If you are interested in serving on a committee for this upcoming year, please get in touch with Kian Flynn (flynnk7@uw.edu). You can see a list with descriptions of our committees here (https://www.ala.org/rt/godort/about-committees) to find a committee that would be best suited to your interests. Our committees' work is vital to GODORT and they can't keep that work going without your support!
