    *Please excuse the cross posting*

Do you know of someone, or are you someone starting out your librarianship career in government information? Then consider suggesting/applying for ALA's Emerging Leaders (EL) Program.

The GODORT Awards & Conference Committee supports an individual to take part in this program. If you are a new librarian or library professional (5-years or less) and have an interest in government information and civic involvement, consider applying to be an emerging leader with GODORT sponsorship. If interested, please include a statement regarding experience or interest working with government documents/information. The deadline for applications is September 6th 2024.

"The ALA Emerging Leaders (EL) program is a leadership development program which enables newer library workers from across the country to participate in problem solving work groups, network with peers, gain an inside look into ALA structure, and have an opportunity to serve the profession in a leadership capacity. It puts participants on the fast track to ALA committee volunteerism as well as other professional library-related organizations."
