The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    How to Find Government Technical Reports - An Introduction to TRAIL

    The Technical Report Archive & Image Library (TRAIL) identifies, acquires, catalogs, digitizes and provides unrestricted access to U.S. government agency technical reports. TRAIL currently consists of over four dozen member institutions whose annual membership fees and volunteered staff time further the efforts of the project. During this webinar, you will learn about the project, the value of government agency technical reports, and how to discover them for your own research. You will leave the webinar with the knowledge to find this information on your own as well as learn about this unique and important national initiative.

    • Lisa Nickum is the Systems Discovery Librarian at the Colorado School of Mines.
