    Hi all,

I'm sharing this travel award opportunity at the request of BRASS. Since there is a lot of overlap between government information and business librarianship, this opportunity might be relevant to some of you.

Do you know a successful librarian who is new to the field of academic business librarianship who would like to attend the ALA Annual Conference?

If so, please nominate them for the BRASS Academic Business Librarianship Travel Award sponsored by Finaeon. Self-nominations are welcome.

This award presents a citation and $1,250 to an individual new to the field of academic business librarianship and is made possible by the generous support of Finaeon.

Please submit the following through the online nomination form that can be found at http://www.ala.org/rusa/brass-academic-business-librarianship-travel-award.

    1. A letter of nomination addressing the criteria

    2. The nominee's current CV

    3. Self-nominations are encouraged to include an additional letter of recommendation

    Deadline: February 20th, 2026.

    Criteria

The BRASS Academic Librarianship Travel Award Committee reviews written applications for the following:

The candidate should be an academic librarian with five or fewer years of experience in business librarianship.

Nominee's interest in business librarianship as demonstrated by activities that may include (but are not limited to) past coursework, internships, jobs, special projects, and

    publications (40%).

An explanation of how the ALA experience will enhance individual career development and the advancement of the profession of business librarianship (30%).

    A demonstrated financial need (20%).

Canadian colleagues are also welcome to apply.
