Dear Government Documents Librarians,
Greetings! You are being invited to take part in the project Geographic Information Librarianship (GIL). The study is funded by the Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program grant via the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). You are being invited to take part in this research study because you may be a critical agent in identifying the importance of knowledge, skills, and abilities required to curate geographic information. The survey will ask you about your personal perceptions and opinions about your work experiences.
I know your time is valuable, but by taking a brief moment out of your busy schedule to participate in this study, you will contribute to library and information science education by informing curricula with empirical data from actual practice.
If you choose to participate, you will be asked questions related to your role as a Librarian working with geospatial data and/or Maps. The survey will take 20 - 30 minutes. Your responses will not be linked to any personal identifier or name.
