Hello All,
I'm hopeful the GODORT collective brain can help solve a GODORT mystery!!
Sometime between 2006 and 2010, GODORT collaborated with Oklahoma State University oral historian, Tanya Finchum, on a small oral history project for GODORT. At some point Tanya sent transcripts, a deed of gifts, and recordings to someone in GODORT at the time. Tanya reached out to our long-time organization historian/archivist, Vicki Tate, who shared with Tanya that she does not recall receiving the materials. Tanya thinks the materials were to become part of ALA Archives. I've reached out UIUC where ALA's archives are housed. While I wait for a reply from them, I thought I'd pick the brain of the GODORT community.
Tanya Finchum assisted with 7 interviews for the following folks -- Larry Romans, Grace York, Judy Russell, Duncan Aldrich, Fran Buckley, Andrea Sevetson, and Bernadine Abbott Hoduski. Within the GODORT Oral History collection, there should be transcripts, recordings (probably on gold CDs), and deed of gift forms.
Does anyone have knowledge of these oral histories and where they could have ended up? If you have any knowledge or recollection of this project and what might have become of these materials, please let me know.
Thank you!
