The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    Sponsored by Readex and GODORT (American Library Association's Government Documents Round Table) each year Readex, a division of NewsBank, graciously makes available their Chester, Vermont and their Naples, Florida properties to raise funds to support the Rozkuszka Scholarship. The W. David Rozkuszka Scholarship provides financial assistance to an individual who is currently working with government documents in a library and is trying to complete a master's degree in library science. This award, established in 1994, is named after W. David Rozkuszka, former Documents Librarian at Stanford University. The award winner receives $3,000.

    This "silent auction" is the main fundraising activity for the scholarship. We ask for your support and participation in the auction. Bidding on the Readex Chester, VT and Naples, FL properties starts immediately and closes  9 am EST on 7/12/2013.. Bidding is open to anyone so pass this among your non-government information colleagues. The bidding starts at $100 for each (see link below to place your bid). The lucky winning bidders will be notified after the closing date.

    Description of properties:

    CHESTER, VT -- Take a step into yesteryear with a seven-day stay in picturesque Chester, the quintessential Vermont small town.
