The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    Hi all,

      Just a reminder that the deadline for the 2011 DttP Cover Contest is December 1st - less than two weeks away!  As always, we're looking for creative photos of government documents in various settings.  Previous contest submissions can be found at http://wikis.ala.org/godort/index.php/DttP_Cover_Photos

    Details:

    ● Photos may be of state, local, federal, foreign, or international publications out in the field.

    ● All photos submitted must include citation information adhering to the Chicago Manual of Style.

    ● Photo orientation should be portrait (not landscape).

    ● Digital photos must be at least 300 dpi.

    ● File name – lastname_year.jpg so it would look like glenn_2011.jpg

    ● File format - .jpg or .gif ONLY - no .pdf’s or other document formats


    Please submit all images to the co-Lead Editors of DttP by December 1, 2010. The winning photo will be on the cover of the Spring 2011 issue.


    All submitted photos will be posted on the DttP wiki.
