The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

  • 1.  Open Meeting Notification: Ad Hoc Committee on GODORT Virtual Meetings

    The Ad Hoc Committee on GODORT Virtual Meetings will hold its first virtual synchronous meeting on Monday, April 13th, at noon EDT/11am CDT/10am MDT/9am PDT.


    The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the committee's charge, develop survey questions, and identify outcomes for the initial committee report. The agenda will be posted to the GODORT wiki and linked in a comment below.

    As a GODORT member and ALA Chapter Councilor, I just wanted to post a big THANK YOU for taking on this assignment. I look forward to your surveys and conclusions. I hope some of them will be generalizable to Council.
