The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    Are you interested in maintaining or increasing GODORT’s ability to communicate with its members and other organizations inside and outside ALA?  GODORT is looking for a Website Administrator to begin working at the end the 2014 Annual Conference. The Website Administrator serves for a three year term, which is renewable.

    --Chairs the Web Managers meetings at ALA Annual and Midwinter conferences and is a member of the GODORT Publications Committee


    --Adds and updates content on the portions of the GODORT website and wiki that are not maintained by committees and task forces


    --Creates a new GODORT directory at the beginning of each term and posts conference schedules and minutes


    --Serves as GODORT liaison to ALA’s web staff


    The successful applicant will have good project and time management skills, as well as experience with wikis or web design and the ability to attend ALA Annual Conferences and Midwinter Meetings.  Applicants must be GODORT members or willing to join GODORT before the beginning of their term as Website Administrator.
