The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    GODORT Midwinter Happy Hour at Chicago’s oldest bar*!


    What’s good about visiting Chicago at the end of January? Staying inside and drinking with GODORT friends and colleagues!


    Sip from Chicago’s long history of beer and brewing at The Berghoff. In addition to brewing their own craft ales, the Berghoff serves German-American food, from schnitzels to strudels! The GODORT happy hour is from 5-7pm on Friday January 30, 2015.


    Located on Adams between Dearborn and State St, the Berghoff is in the center of the loop, close to the subway and the 'L'. The Hilton Chicago, where the GODORT meetings on Friday are scheduled, is about half a mile from the Berghoff.



    *The Berghoff was issued the first liquor license in Chicago after prohibition’s repeal
