The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    National Library Legislative Day is coming up on May 9 and 10!  Even if you do not plan to be in Washington, D.C. for this event, you can virtually participate.  Please take the time to contact your Representatives and Senators (again!) regarding funding for the U.S. Census Bureau's Compendia Branch (save the Statistical Abstract!) and funding for Salaries and Expenses appropriations for GPO to ensure continued support for the FDLP and FDsys.  Attached is the ALA Washington Office issue brief on these two issues, which can be found at
