The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    Raise A Glass To Good Conversation!

    TRAIL Happy Hour Meet & Greet on Saturday, June 22nd, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at City Tap House Penn Quarter, 901 9th St NW, just a couple blocks south of the Convention Center

    We're trying something new this year.  TRAIL will be hosting a happy hour meet & greet session. After a long day of conference sessions, come meet with members of TRAIL's Steering Committee and ask us whatever you'd like to know about TRAIL.  Appetizers are on us! 

    TRAIL Information & Update Session

    Our regular information/update session - Sunday, June 23rd, 1:00-2:00 pm in the Renaissance Hotel, Rooms 08 & 09.  The Renaissance is also located just south of the Convention Center.  We will offer some background and history about TRAIL, a current snapshot of what we're working on, and what our future plans are, including information about a major decision made at the TRAIL annual meeting a few weeks ago. Anyone who knows what microcards are will want to hear about this!!

     This is an open meeting – we invite you to come!

     

    TRAIL identifies, digitizes, archives, and provides access to federal technical reports. Technical reports communicate research progress in technology and science; they deliver information for technical development to industry and research institutions contributing to the continued growth of science and technology. These highly detailed reports contain valuable information serving specialized audiences of researchers. While availability to more recent technical report literature has greatly improved with Internet access, many technical reports remain elusive to researchers
