REGP Panel Discussion on GPO's National Plan (ALA Annual meeting)

  • 1.  REGP Panel Discussion on GPO's National Plan (ALA Annual meeting)

    Posted Jun 13, 2016 03:31 PM

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a panel discussion, sponsored by GODORT’s Rare & Endangered Government Publications Committee about GPO’s National Plan for Access to U.S. Government Information, which was made public in Feb. 2016.

The REGP panel discussion will take place on Saturday, June 25th from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Rosen Centre Hotel, Salon Rooms 7 & 8.

The focus of the panel discussion will be GPO’s National Plan as it relates to long-term access and preservation of federal government information.  Topics may include the relationship between access and preservation, the regional discard policy, and digital deposit of government information.

The panel consists of three noted government documents librarians, coming to the discussion with different perspectives:

Daniel Cornwall (Alaska State Library), current member of the Depository Library Council

Kirsten Clark (U. of Minnesota), Regional Depository librarian

Shari Laster (U. of California, Santa Barbara), Chair of REGP committee

I hope you will consider joining us for this informative and timely topic.

    VICKI TATE, Panel Moderator
