Just a quick note to let folks know that I've been in contact with the Washington Office on Senator McCain's amendment to S. 493 ending the CR in print. I've urged Lynne Bradley to create a forum on Connect devoted to the topic and open to all of ALA, and I will soon be in touch with GODORT's Executive Committee to see how best to represent GODORT's interests in this matter.

Also, I will be at the DLC meeting in San Antonio, as will other members of the Executive Committee (http://wikis.ala.org/godort/index.php/2010-11_Directory#Executive_Committee), and I encourage you to pull us aside and tell us what you think!

Just off the phone with Ellen, Kay, and Jessica McGilvray from the Washington Office. As noted on GODOC-L, focus now seems to be shifting to S.674, the Congressional Record Printing Savings Act of 2011.

Background and text: http://1.usa.gov/eTjJAj (not on Thomas yet).

GODORT Legislation and I will be monitoring developments on this, but please feel free to weigh in with your thoughts.
