The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    Here is the information on the GODORT hotel for ALA. We have a block of 40 rooms.

    Important Reminders Below the Fold

    Housing/Registration opens online on Wednesday, September 1st for Bundled Registration ONLY. This means that only attendees that are purchasing both ALA Midwinter and ALA Annual at the same time may book on this date.  Otherwise, if they only want to register for ALA Midwinter Only, they will have to wait until the General opening date of Friday, October 1st.
     
    Attendees must register via online at www.ala.org/midwinter.org or fax or mail.  Registrations cannot be taken over the phone.   Please instruct your group when registering online to select the GODORT  demographic under the header  “  Please advise if you are registering as a member of one of the following groups”.   Once they select GODORT it will direct them to your hotel block.
     
    Once the meeting opens, please feel free to contact me via email if you are in need of room inventory pick up reports or rooming lists.
