Hi YALSA and Game RT!

Are there any folks out there who offer Magic, the Gathering as a library program? I would love to pick your brains.

We received a huge donation of Magic, the Gathering cards, roughly 7,000-10,000 cards. Enough build about several decks for beginner, casual play, as well as decks for intermediate players.  We're thrilled!

Once we have this program underway, we expect that other libraries in our system will ask to borrow our Magic decks.

In anticipation of other libraries asking to borrow our decks and the expectation that some of my colleagues will want guidance and support, I plan to create a programming outline, resource list, etc.

Rather than create the supporting documents from scratch, I thought I'd ask my gaming and teen colleagues if anyone have an outline and other materials that I can adapt for our needs.  (Unfortunately, I didn't see anything in YALSA's Programs.)

Thank you in advance for any help and/or suggestions.

I may be slow to respond to your messages because I've set Connect for weekly digests.

All the best,

Marta Murvosh

So far no one has weighed in on this. I'll share that we discovered that UC-Berkley taught a course on Magic and the course introduction really pinpoints the value of Magic and that is located at https://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~nidia/decal/.

Hi all, You can direct email me at mmurvosh@sno-isle.org. I'm aware of MagiKids. :-) Apparently, this post is "read-only" and I can't figure out how to change that status.
