Seeking Advice on Running a Game Jam

  • 1.  Seeking Advice on Running a Game Jam

    Posted Mar 19, 2024 01:44 PM

Greetings! I'm seeking advice from librarians who have run game jams.  Gwinnett County Public Library  is proud to be hosting our 3rd Game Jam this year which runs until April 19th.  We are accepting video games, card games, tabletop games. We have received submissions for video games over the years, but we have not received any card game or tabletop submissions. How have you advertised and/or participated in outreach to your community (especially with tabletop)?

Also, if you or anyone you know is interested in participating, you  do not have to reside in Gwinnett County, GA; however, a representative of your team must be at the showcase on 5/4 to collect any prizes. Please share the information with your community. Last year, we got 19 entires and they were all local developers. We would like to get entries from around the country. Also, if you have any interest in helping with the next Game Jam, please let me know. We definitely need volunteers. Links to our game jam are posted below. Thank you in advance for your advice and support!
