Greetings! The International Games Day @ your library Committee is reaching out to you because you have expressed interest in sharing your story for our IGD blog (http://igd.ala.org/). As you may know, there are a variety of themes that we have published on our blog over the years, including but not limited to:
Or, if you would like, you can propose a new theme or topic. For example, you might want to entice other libraries by writing a blog post about "Organizing Your First International Games Day" event. If you are interested, please reply to Hannah Tracy (htracy55@gmail.com) so that we can review and schedule your post on our blog. Please keep in mind that your post may be edited for clarity and we need the rights to any pictures you may wish to attach. Please understand that your post may be used in its entirety as written or it may be incorportated into another piece we write. In any case, you will be credited either as the author or a contributor.
General tips/guidelines:
- 500 - 1,000 words; fewer words with a photo-heavy post
- Share your personal experience
- Compelling title
- Use simple words
- Make it scannable (e.g., lists, bullet points, etc.)
- Include internal links to other resources
