    Please summarize work accomplished, decisions made and follow-up actions determined during this reporting period.

    During this period, the committee's focus has been on reading titles eligible for the Belpré awards. We have submitted our two rounds of nominations. We have worked to ensure that all committee members have access to the nominated titles and have been rereading and thinking about the nominees. We've also thought about how our deliberations will proceed, and committee members have a good idea about what to expect over the next twenty days as we wrap up our selection process.

    Inclusion Goal

    By its nature, the Belpré award reflects ALSC's mission of diversity of inclusion. However, as a committee, it has been our mission to ensure that we consider diversity within the Latine world as we evaluate candidates, and that we consider diversity and inclusion as we interact with one another.
