Notice of virtual meeting of the Co-chairs of the Publisher/Vendor Relations Discussion Group

Notice of our upcoming virtual meeting has been posted to the online database:  "Meetings outside of Annual Conference or Midwinter Meeting."  You can view it at:

    http://www.ala.org/template.cfm?section=OpenMeetings&template=/cfapps/meetings/default.cfm

    *********************************************

The Publisher/Vendor Relations Discussion Group co-chairs will be holding an online meeting via ALA Connect on September 10, 2009 at 3 PM eastern to discuss possible topics for ALA Midwinter Meeting Discussion Group.  Please consider joining the conversation if you wish.  The meeting goal will be to cull the list of ideas for the most promising topics.  These topics will then be put to the membership in a brief informal survey on STS-L to see if any particular topic is resonating with the membership.
All meeting participants are requested to review the online docs available on ALA Connect at:

    http://connect.ala.org/og/search/65527?type=page

The online docs include a list of recent program topics, and two documents containing possible ideas for discussion at ALA Midwinter in Boston (2010).

At this point, we believe that meeting participation will require an ALA Connect account (non-member accounts are available - free registration) and you may have to join the appropriate "Community" (at least temporarily).  More information will follow with a reminder message for the meeting.  Meeting pre-work documents (the link above) are open access.

    Sincerely,

    Judith Emde and Matt Marsteller
    Co-chairs, Publisher/Vendor Relations Discussion Group
