Discussion Building Teen Music Collection in the Library - CD/mp3

We are looking for advice on the best way to build up our teen music collection. One of the concerns has been that with current ordering policies, the music might be "out" for the kids by the time we get it in.

Discussion Music Festival at my library

My coworker just finalized the plans for an entire weekend of music at our library. Check out the attached flyer to learn about the EIGHT programs she has planned for the weekend, including a Battle of the Bands, a workshop with a vocalist, and a musician's networking lunch.

Discussion iPods in high schools

So some Natick High School students in Natick, Mass are upset that they can no longer use iPods and cell phones while in school (except during study hall; they can use iPods there).  Here is the article.
