LLAMA Webinar explores how to sustain change after the excitement wears off

Change management is more than just a buzzword in libraries these days. For many library leaders it has become a way of life requiring not only the ability to create change, but the ability to sustain a culture of innovation and change long-term. The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Are we there yet? How to Keep Organizational Momentum Going After the Excitement of Change Is Over,” on Wed., Mar. 22, at 1:30 – 3:00 pm (Central time). This webinar will provide practical information about the day to day decision making and concrete activities required to achieve and sustain organizational change.

By the end of this webinar, participants will learn:

  • How to continue fostering internal change management after the organization has "changed"
  • How to build partnerships outside the library that are vital for leveraging institutional resources and collaborative opportunities
  • How to promote innovation and creativity on a systemic level
  • How to measure the impact of this work

Who Should Attend: Library administrators, department heads, or those in positions responsible for leading change management efforts

Presenter: Cinthya Ippoliti is the Associate Dean for Research and Learning Services at Oklahoma State University where she provides administrative leadership for the library’s academic liaison program as well as services for graduate and undergraduate students.

Registration fees: LLAMA member $49; Non-LLAMA member $59; LLAMA group rate (5 or more people at one site) $199; Non-LLAMA group rate (5 or more people at one site) $239; Student: $29

Continuing Education Development Committee:

Continuing Education Development Committee:

To work collaboratively with the LLAMA CE Program Officer to produce programs that support ongoing content and revenue goals for LLAMA’s continuing education program.  The primary focus of the committee will be the generation of content for the production of online webinars, both paid and free, and face to face continuing education held outside of the Annual Conference.  The Program Officer will handle all marketing and production for LLAMA continuing education programs.

To accomplish its work, the committee, in consultation with the CE program officer, will:

  1. Identify and contact potential presenters, both in and out of the association, who can provide CE content in support of LLAMA’s annual programmatic goals.
  2. Identify and contact potential Midwinter Institute presenters who can provide CE content in support of LLAMA’s annual programmatic goals.
  3. Provide one or more representatives to attend LLAMA Program Committee meetings at Midwinter and Annual and to identify section programs with the greatest potential for webinar development.
  4.
