POSITION DESCRIPTION;
Our branch managers have the unique opportunity to lead Columbus Metropolitan Library’s (CML) award-winning branches in busy and diverse neighborhoods. We are actively seeking candidates for three specific branches: Northern Lights, Shepard, Northside (open 2017.) All three locations are part of CML’s 10-project aspirational building program and are blueprints for the next generation library we’re providing customers. The branch manager leads a team that provides world-class customer service to diverse people of all ages who rely on the vital programs, services and access to technology that CML brings to the community. As a community leader, the branch manager advances partnerships with organizations that share our vision and purpose, and help us achieve positive outcomes that move our library and community forward together in a changing world. This position has a high level of independence in managing staff and materials to achieve the library’s goals. The branch manager aligns programs and activities with the library’s strategic and tactical plan objectives.
