SustainRT Conference Call, March 12, 2015
Present: Ashley Jones, Coordinator; Madeleine Charney, Coordinator Elect; Eileen Harrington, Member at Large; Matthew Bollerman, Secretary; Rebekkah Smith Aldrich, Member at Large; Betsy Evans, Treasurer
Meeting was called to order at 10:00 am by Ashley Jones.
The resolution on sustainability is receiving feedback. Lots of kudos and some questions about the language being used. April 10 is the deadline for this process, with an eye towards Late April/early May with the finished resolution.
The process of actually passing the resolution came up. Do we need to be at certain meetings?
The SustainRT Annual Meeting is still being determined. Asked for Saturday 1 to 2:30 pm.
Lightning Rounds are scheduled for Monday 1 to 2:30 pm. Jason Noscek, Renee Tanner and Carolyn Zeiring are reviewing the participant applications.
The group discussed a virtual meeting before the Annual Conference. Looking for the week before conference. Agenda could include: review our first year, resolution being drafted, and one question “How are we doing?”
Project Team Updates
1) Online Education – Madeline has added a third person to help.
2) Governance Tag Team – Beth Filar Williams is working on “greening” the conference and would like a “Sustainable Conference” working group.
3) Environmental Scan – No report. More to come in April.
4) Marketing and Outreach – Creating “buzz” at Annual. Added two new members.
At the upcoming ACRL conference, Birds of a Feather lunches, SustainRT will be represented. Informal conversations will help promote the Roundtable.
It is always recommended to promote SustainRT at appropriate levels: state, regional and local.
Planning for more online learning is coming.
