Attached is the final letter re: substitution of authenticated FDSys documents for tangible documents in Federal Regional Depository Libraries.  This is being sent to the ALA Washington Office for review before being transmitted to ALA.  At this time we do not know if the Washington Office will revise it.  Since GPO specifically requested a response from GODORT we hope to send it as posted here.   If there are further revisions by ALA Washington we will post them as well.

This is the result of several weeks of lively discussion in GODORT Steering which resulted in significant changes to the first drafts of the letter.  A summary of those discussions will be posted on the ALA GODORT Wiki within the next few days.
