ALA Connect User logins are disabled for a temporary "gray-out" period, to prevent new posts while we upgrade into the New Connect. This gray-out period will begin on March 26th, and the new site will be launched on April 25th.

Users can use Search to view public content. Logins will be reinstated and users can create new posts, upload files, etc. post launch.

CFP for Spring Webinars for ACRL's Digital Curation Interest Group


The ACRL Digital Curation Interest Group is looking for proposals for webinars to be held in the Spring.  We invite proposals on topics germane to digital curation activities, including (but not limited to) the following topics that were brought up by DCIG members at our meeting at ALA Annual last June:

  • Metadata specialists
  • Non-institutional repositories
  • Skills needed/Skills learned to tackle digital curation
  • Specific data management procedures such as file naming
  • Data purchased from vendors
  • Careers in digital curation¬†
  • Digital curation lifecycle

We seek webinars of 60 minutes in length (including time for questions).  If you have an idea for a webinar then please send a short description of it to the following: Yasmeen Shorish (shorisyl@jmu.edu); Megan Toups (mtoups@trinity.edu) and Suzanna Conrad (skconrad@csupomona.edu) by Tuesday, November 26th, 2013.
