Forum on the Future of C&RL at ALA Midwinter

When:
Wednesday, December 12, 2012 - 11:00 am to Sunday, January 27, 2013 - 12:00 pm, US/Central

Colleagues - please join members of the College & Research Libraries Editorial Board for a “Forum on the Future of C&RL in a Digital Age” at ALA Midwinter on Saturday, January 26th, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm, in the Westin Seattle (WEST) St. Helen’s Room.

College & Research Libraries, the premiere journal in academic librarianship, embraced the future of scholarly communication by making the move to Open Access in 2012, but that was only its first step forward. 2013 will be the final year for C&RL as a print journal, at which time it will move to an online-only format. What opportunities are there for C&RL to continue to model best practices for scholarly communication in the digital age? What new features would you like to see as the journal evolves into a key component of the ACRL digital publishing platform? This open Forum for C&RL authors and readers is your opportunity to contribute to the journal’s evolution, and to ensure that C&RL remains the leading resource for research on academic and research libraries.

Please mark your calendars and share this invitation with colleagues who have an interest in the future of our journal and of scholarly communication in library and information science. We look forward to seeing you in Seattle!
