ALA Connect User logins are disabled for a temporary "gray-out" period, to prevent new posts while we upgrade into the New Connect. This gray-out period will begin on March 26th, and the new site will be launched on April 25th.

Video Tutorials for Using Blackboard Collaborae

Attached are four screencasting tutorials that demostrate how to load a Power Point, use Application Sharing, use Web Tour, and how to Co-Edit a Word document in Blackboard Collaborate. These are all MP4 files that should play on most computers.

These are still a little rough and can be revised as needed, but hopefully still useful.

Essentials for Moderators Guide for Blackboard Collaborate

Blackboard published a manual in July 2012 called "Essentials for Moderators" that was released for version 12. It is also available in PDF format.

It is particularly useful for learning about the kinds of content that can be uploaded and understanding the vocubulary Blackboard uses for their graphical interface. It is difficult to communicate to participants without some working terminology for the different parts of the Participants Panal.
