MAGIRT Discussion Groups at Midwinter

    The MAGIRT Map Collection Management and GIS Discussion Groups will meet
    at ALA Midwinter in Dallas on Saturday, January 21st, 2012 in Room D163
    at the Dallas Convention Center:

       * Map Collection Management Discussion Group - 1:30 - 3:30PM
       * GIS Discussion Group - 4 - 5:30PM

    The Map Collection Management Discussion Group will include a brief
    overview of current issues in the FDLP as they relate to map libraries
    and collections as well as discussion of map collection management
    issues. The GIS Discussion Group will feature an update from USGS
    Libraries Program Director Richard Huffine. Refreshments between
    discussion group sessions will be provided by East View Cartographic.

    For those of you not attending Midwinter this year, both discussion
    groups will be live streamed via Ustream on the MAGIRT channel -
    http://www.ustream.tv/channel/magirt. Ustream channels include a chat
    feature, so anyone attending virtually can join in the discussion (you
    will either need to create a Ustream account or sign in with your
    Facebook or Twitter account).
