Do not miss out on seeing spectacular historic maps and charts this summer in New Orleans!  On the afternoon of Friday, June 24th, the MAGERT field trip will be a tour of the Historic New Orleans Collection.  The field trip will start with the map collection in the Williams Research Center, and then move on to the “Threads of Memory Exhibit”, a traveling exhibit on loan from Seville’s Archivo General de Indias (Archives of the Indies) which examines the lasting legacy of early Spanish Colonists on the southern United States.  We will meet at 3:15 at the HNOC's Williams Research Center, 410 Chartres Street [map] and the tour will start at 3:30p.m.   This tour is limited to 25 people; please RSVP for by June 10th to Roger Knouff at roger.knouff@asu.edu.

After the field trip, hungry socialites will gather at 5:30 p.m. for a no-host (Dutch treat) dinner at Pierre Masperos which is less than a block up the street on the corner of St. Louis and Chartres Streets [map] [directions from HNOC].  Please RSVP for the dinner by June 10th to Roger Knouff at roger.knouff@asu.edu.

Saturday evening MAGERT members will feast at our annual MAGERT reception and awards ceremony at the Crescent City Brewhouse [map] at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited, so RSVP early to ensure a place at the table!  Respond by June 15th to Roger Knouff at roger.knouff@asu.edu.
