The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will host a Patent and Trademark Depository Libraries (PTDLs) Public Roundtable to discuss the furture of PTDLs. It will be hosted by the Undersecretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO, David Kappos, in order to obtain input from organizations and individuals on current use of the Patent and Trademark Depository Libraries (PTDLs) and how to more effectively use the PTDLs in the future.

    When: February 15, 2011 from 1:30pm.-3:00pm.est.

    Where: USPTO Madison Auditorium, 600 Dulany Street, Alexandria, VA 22314

    Purpose: To solicit input on current use of the Patent and Trademark Depository Library (PTDLs) and how to more effectively use the PTDLs in the future.
