The editorial team of DttP: Documents to the People announces a call for proposals for articles for the Spring 2011 issue. The planned broad theme for this issue is Intellectual Property and Government Information.

Possible topic areas to explore include:

    • A survey of state documents and copyright
    • Intellectual property resources and research
    • Government information and copyright of Britain (or any other country!)
    • IP resources of countries outside of the United States
    • Mass digitization projects of U.S. documents and copyright
    • WIPO resources
    • IGO and NGO information and copyright
    • When is government information not in the public domain?

The above are just general suggestions, and we expect that people's experience and imaginations will lead to many interesting proposals!

Brief proposals of 250-500 words are due by October 1, 2010. Notifications to authors of acceptance for the Spring 2011 issue will be made by October 15, 2010.

Full manuscripts of 2,500-3,000 words are due by January 6, 2011.

Style and manuscript information can be found in the DttP instructions for authors.

Please send queries and proposals to the DttP co-lead editors: Beth Clausen and Valerie Glenn dttp.editor[AT]gmail.com
