At the General Membership Meeting, I said I would link in the information from the Emerging Leaders Program. Happy Reading! And, again, thank you so much for the support! I look forward to helping out with future godort emerging leaders.

Here is the complete list of Emerging Leaders Projects: http://connect.ala.org/el10projects

And here is information about Project P for which I worked: https://connect.ala.org/communities/community-home/librarydocuments/viewdocument?DocumentKey=1c9f6948-3b8d-407c-84e8-417e6bc877f5

And here is our short summary of the report: Every round table and division within ALA has dealt with the proliferation of communication tools from listservs to social networking to the new ALA Connect. Each group has been required to create its own guidelines for using these tools. To consolidate these efforts, the Library and Information Technology Association asked for an ALA Emerging Leaders group to examine the various tools used by the LITA leadership, and analyze how LITA uses each tool. The ultimate goal is to establish best practices for using communication tools with the wider membership. To understand usage, Project P members surveyed the current LITA leadership about their interest in and use of each tool. Our report describes each tool, provides a narrative description of the survey results, and closes with recommendations on using ALA Connect to replicate select functionality of the various tools.
