Greetings, Mobile Computing IG!
We'll be holding our inaugural meeting at Midwinter, on Sunday afternoon from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in BCEC Room 102B. Hope you can be there.
Our agenda for this meeting will be simple, we must define the IG. To that end, I'm hoping we can discuss some of the following:
- Communication platform - Connect and/or Listserv?
- Participation at Annual - BoF? Co-sponsorship of program?
- Participation at Midwinter 2011 - Programming?
For reference, here's the function statement we submitted to LITA to form our group: "The Mobile Computing IG recognizes that the universe of platforms for communication and information delivery is growing and fragmenting. We provide a forum for LITA members to discuss ways to deliver services and engage users beyond the desktop."
I'm open to additional agenda items, but I hope to leave plenty of time for us to discuss mobile initiatives at our libraries, as well as mobile tech we've got our collective eyes on. If you bring a Nexus One, you win the meeting.
