June 2022 OCLC Virtual AskQC Office Hours Invitation

Since the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) was first published in 1876, it has grown to be the world's most widely used means of organizing library collections.  WebDewey is the electronic version of the Dewey system, a full representation of all published numbers, plus other mappings and new terms that have been approved by the Dewey Editorial Policy Committee.  OCLC has published and maintained Dewey since 1988, so if anyone knows how to present a quick introduction to classifying with WebDewey, we do.  And do we ever.

Join us on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time for the Virtual AskQC Office Hours session, "Introduction to Classifying with WebDewey," to examine basics of classifying resources using Dewey and to receive guidance on the use of WebDewey.  Please note that this time is Eastern Time in the United States.  Please adjust for your own time zone.

Following the presentation, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the VAOH topic or about any other WorldCat quality matter that comes to mind.

Topic and registration information is available for the June 23, 2022 VAOH presentation.  On the Previous AskQC Office Hours page, you may also tap into the recordings, slides, and Q&A from past VAOH presentations.  If you register, you will receive an email reminder before the session along with a link to the WebEx event.  All Virtual AskQC Office Hours are available from OCLC at no charge.

    Everyone is welcome.

Please excuse any duplication of this message.
