The OLAC Cataloging Policy Committee (CAPC) is seeking volunteers to serve on a new task force. This task force will investigate the processes for creating application profiles, policy statements, and metadata guidance documents in the Official RDA Toolkit, and determine how the forthcoming OLAC Unified Best Practices (UBP) document can be integrated into the Toolkit using these forms of guidance. The task force will then proceed with creating the appropriate documentation to make UBP guidance available through the Toolkit.
We are seeking members to start in fall 2022 for an initial term through the end of 2023. Potential task force members should have experience in at least one of the following areas:
- cataloging moving image materials, kits, electronic and/or streaming resources, or realia
- cataloging in RDA (whether working with the Original or Official Toolkit)
