  • 1.  Final Call: Library Vendor Service Expectations Survey Closes Feb. 28th

    Posted Feb 01, 2022 09:37 PM

    Dear Colleagues,

Many thanks to those who have contributed to the survey on library vendor service expectations which collects the perceptions of workers from vendors and academic/public libraries. We're looking forward to sharing our initial findings during Camp ER&L in March.

The survey includes a Likert scale rating the priorities of 22 library vendor service topics and collects individual (not organizational) perceptions. Vendor workers complete this scale based on what they believe their library customers view as important and valued. All respondents are provided an opportunity for optional, confidential comments.

We've received over 350 international responses, with 77% from academic library workers, 12% from vendor workers and 11% from public library workers. The survey will close on February 28th. If you have already shared your experiences via the survey, please encourage your colleagues to do so.

As a validation measure, this confidential survey collects limited contact information (name and email address). Participants receive a copy of their response by email. Identities of respondents are confidential and will not be shared with any third parties. This research is planned for publication as a peer-reviewed journal article, with results also to be shared at professional conferences.

To contribute to this research, please visit https://rollins.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8nOAf6sTRy3vFMa on or before February 28, 2022.

Thank you for your interest and your contribution. If you have any questions or need to verify whether you've already completed the survey :-), please contact Jonathan Harwell (jharwell@rollins.edu) or Erin Gallagher (gallaghere@ufl.edu).
