Annual 2014 - Consortium Management Interest Group Meeting

    Hello All,

I know Mid-winter meeting has not even begun yet, but please start thinking about developing a program for our Consortium Management  Interest Group meeting at ALA Annual 2014 in Las Vegas!  This year, I would like to propose a meeting that focuses on how consortia are dealing with demand driven services (ebooks, print, articles, etc.). If you would like to present on this topic, please provide an abstract, title, and a brief bio of yourself.  We only have an hour scheduled for our meeting so please limit your presentation to 10-15 minutes.

I would like to leave about 10 minutes of the hour to talk about possible formal programming to offer in 2015.  Also, another item to consider is whether we should  organize a virtual meeting and/or program in lieu of an in-person meeting at mid-winter (we stopped meeting there several years ago).

Finally, one last discussion I am proposing is attracting membership to this group. I know that the number of consortia is dwindling, but the need for group collaboration is not. So how do we engage groups that may not be considered a formal consortium?

Any other ideas are welcome!!  You can add ot the discussion her or email me directly sknab@wnylrc.org.
