Hello All,
I am still accepting proposals for our meeting at ALA Annual in Las Vegas. Our meeting will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in room N101. This year, I would like to propose a meeting that focuses on how consortia are dealing with demand driven services (ebooks, print, articles, etc.). If you would like to present on this topic, please provide an abstract, title, and a brief bio of yourself. We only have an hour scheduled for our meeting so please limit your presentation to 10-15 minutes. Already scheduled is:
Cara Orban fromMontanaLibrary2Go presenting: "Sharing Resources and Responsibilities in Montana"
I would like to leave about 10 minutes of the hour to talk about possible formal programming to offer in 2015. Also, another item to consider is whether we should organize a virtual meeting and/or program in lieu of an in-person meeting at mid-winter (we stopped meeting there several years ago).
Finally, one last discussion I am proposing is attracting membership to this group. Also, how do we engage groups that may not be considered a formal consortium?
Any other ideas are welcome!! You can add to the discussion here or email me directly sknab@wnylrc.org.
