April 2022 OCLC Virtual AskQC Office Hours Invitation
If it's critical for you to expand your limited knowledge of editions, OCLC invites you to attend either session of the new, complete, and unabridged Virtual AskQC Office Hour of "Editions annotated, collected, corrected, and expanded: The varieties and roles of Edition Statements," in April 2022.
Edition statements, whether transcribed or supplied, are a critical element in identifying and differentiating bibliographic resources. This VAOH session will examine the many varieties of edition statements (and things that look like edition statements), the roles they play in automated record matching, and how they can help you distinguish similar but distinct resources.
As usual, "Editions annotated, collected, corrected, and expanded: The varieties and roles of Edition Statements" will be presented twice to accommodate a wide swath of time zones: First on Tuesday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time, and a second time on Thursday, April 21 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern time. Please note that each of these times is Eastern Time in the United States. Please adjust for your own time zone.
Following each presentation, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the VAOH topic or about any other WorldCat quality matter that comes to mind.
Topic and registration information is available for these two April 2022 VAOH presentations and for the remaining Office Hours through June 2022. On the Previous AskQC Office Hours page, you may also tap into the recordings, slides, and Q&A from past VAOH presentations. If you register for April, you will receive an email reminder before your chosen session along with a link to the WebEx event. All Virtual AskQC Office Hours are available from OCLC at no charge.
Everyone is welcome.
