    Posted Jun 10, 2021 10:08 AM

    Dear Chapter Leaders,

Apologies for the late notice, but I wanted to pass along information about the SIFnet (State Intellectual Freedom Network) meeting taking place this afternoon from the ALA Office of Intellectual Freedom. If this interests you, please feel free to join. Details below.

Please reach out to Kristin Pekoll, kpekoll@ala.org with any questions.

I apologize for not sending an earlier reminder. I also didn't give you much time to share any content via slides.

    Next SIFnet Meeting – Thursday, June 10, 2021 @ 2pm – 3:30pm CT

    • Registration is required! When you register, you'll get a calendar notice with the date and time for either google, outlook, or yahoo.
    • I've added both the recording and the minutes from our March "State of the States" meeting to the SIFnet Library folder but I'm also including links here: Minutes and Recording.
    • Let me know if you have any updates to your state intellectual freedom leaders. (Thank you, Molly, for the reminder!) I'll be working on updating the SIFnet Roster and adding new people to the SIFnet Connect Group.

    AGENDA

    • State Reports (Include any conference information, intellectual freedom programs or awards. Share IF publications or training. Review any material or service challenges in your state. Mention state legislation relevant to libraries, privacy, or intellectual freedom issues. I encourage you to add key points to a slide for your state report. Make a duplicate of this google slide.)
    • OIF Updates
    • What issues are you seeing in the library world?

    Kristin
