Call for Chapter Assistance

    Dear ACRL Chapters Council, 


    I am the 2021 President of ACRL/NY and I am writing to you seeking advice. ACRL/NY has decided to undergo a strategic restructuring of our organization. Our membership has become less engaged and we've had a very difficult time recruiting people for leadership roles. We are hoping this strategic planning will help make ACRL/NY more appealing to members, secure our leadership and financial stability, as well as clarify/revamp our mission. 


    We are wondering if any other chapters have done this sort of restructuring or have gone through this type of process before? Have any other chapters experienced this type of organizational crisis and if so how did you overcome it? What did you do and what changes did you make to your organization?
