    ACRL Board members,
It has been a busy week between governance meetings, LLX programming, and regular work reflecting the lives of academic members in that we are juggling so much as we enter the third year of the pandemic.  I hope everyone is healthy and taking care.  Attached are the Talking Points for our governance meetings including an update regarding LibLearnX preliminary results.  I hope many of you were able to attend some of the great programming.

I will be meeting as the Executive Board liaison with the ACRL Board and Budget & Finance Committee on Tuesday and will be happy to address any questions as well as communicate issues and questions to the Executive Board.  Some highlights - please note the financial update on the first page.   We are turning the corner on budget thanks to the hard work of everyone pulling together in the same direction to achieve our goals while being mindful of our revenue and expense balance.  More needs to be done but overall, the financial situation has greatly improved.

The Operating Agreement Work Group continues its hard work.  Thanks to Kara Malenfant and other ACRL members, Division issues are raised and considered.  During the joint meeting of PBA, BARC, and Division Leadership, we had a good discussion regarding the overhead and what would happen if we eliminated overhead?  A bold proposal and the OAWG would like to meet with Division leaders, including financial committees, for a full consideration of this concept.

Thank you for your service to ACRL and ALA.  I look forward to our meeting and please reach out anytime that I can be of assistance from the Executive Board and BARC.
