SRRT (Social Responsibilities Round Table)

The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Hello,

    Our next Action Council meeting is TOMORROW Wednesday, September 23 at 3:00 PM Atlantic / 2:00 PM Eastern / 1:00 PM Central / 12:00 PM Mountain / 11:00 AM Pacific. We hope you can join us!

    The DRAFT agenda for Wednesday's Action Council meeting is linked here.  Please be sure to review the agenda for links to other documents pertinent to the upcoming meeting. If you emailed me an agenda item or report and don't see it included, please let me know and I will update the agenda and/or reports doc accordingly.

    This meeting will be recorded, per members' request. Access to the recording will be available by request only (email the coordinator for the link & password). The recording will be deleted after 1 month. These steps are being taken to balance access with privacy due to the potentially sensitive nature of discussions.
