The Retired Members Round Table (RMRT) shall exist to develop programs of particular interest to retired persons from all types of libraries and all forms of library services, including formal opportunities for continued involvement and learning; a variety of leadership training and opportunities for mentoring; lifelong professional involvement and networking; and active engagement in the American Library Association and the profession of librarianship.

Finalizing RMRT Committees

    We are in the process of finalizing our committee chairs and committee members.  If you want to get involved and support this round table, NOW is the time!

    RMRT is for active members who intend to remain involved with the profession and to continue with their lifelong learning.  THIS is your chance especially if you are new to the round table.  Committees is where the action is and a good platform to find out what RMRT is all about.

    We are in need of a chair for the Membership Committee.  If this is one of your passions or strengths, consider volunteering for the membership committee!

    Committee members must:

    1. Be a member of RMRT
    2. Anticipate attending the Annual Conference during the term of office unless the meetings are to be held virtually.
    3. Must be able and willing to conduct the work of the committee or board position between conferences.
