Project Outcome (www.projectoutcome.org) helps public libraries understand and share the impact of essential library services and programs. It is designed to give libraries simple tools and supportive resources to help turn better data into better libraries. This community is for Project Outcome users at public libraries to discuss their use of outcome measurement, ask each other about patron engagement strategies, and further the thoughts and conversations that begin with projectoutcome.org. Here, you can find various threads to ask and answer questions, start your own conversations, or further your own learning about how libraries are using outcome measurement to improve their patron-focused programs and services.
For technical assistance with the toolkit or your library's account, please contact info@projectoutcome.org.
When:  Jun 23, 2023 from 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM (CT)

This interactive pre-conference workshop is designed to help public library professionals successfully evaluate their libraries’ programs and services using Project Outcome. The first half of the workshop covers strategies for identifying community needs, setting goals, measuring outcomes, and administering surveys. In the second half of the workshop, participants will learn how to analyze data and take action with results, and hear about how other libraries have made the most of their data. Throughout the workshop participants will work to develop an implementation plan that they can put into action at their libraries.

This workshop is intended for all public library staff and administrators who are interested in making improvements to the library’s programs and services. The workshop and focus on Project Outcome is particularly relevant to those who interact directly with library users and those who conduct evaluations. Attendees are not expected to have any data expertise or previous experience with Project Outcome. Prior to the workshop, we recommend that participants register for Project Outcome (www.projectoutcome.org) and review basic materials in the toolkit.
