    Hello everyone,

I have a student at my university who is getting their bachelor degree in human services but hadn't considered going into librarianship as a possible career path. After discussing just how much of a benefit their expertise would be in the library setting, as a librarian with a bachelor's in human services, they're excited about the possibility of getting an MSLIS/MLIS.

I wanted to know if anyone has gone down this same career path and would be willing to speak with them?

    Thank you in advance!,
    Rachelle

    Hi Rachelle,

I did take this same path. Bachelor's in Human Services with internships at various agencies then chose MLIS for my career path. I am a public librarian in NYC now and would be willing to chat with someone considering the same path.
