    Hi everyone,

We have received a request to post a question:

"Could you post a question about how to handle supervision for interns when you don't have a social worker on site (which is why we want an intern)?" So it would be great if you could please share with the question-asker how interns are supervised at your library, when there is no social worker present. Thanks!

I realize this answer is being posted waaaay after the question was posed, but I have not been in this group very long, so forgive me!  I am a social work intern for a library system, and there is no social worker on staff.  The way my supervision is handled is that I have supervision with my direct field supervisor (the director of the library system) and supplemental supervision with my field director (the head of the social work department at my school who has an MSW).  I have classmates in my cohort who receive supplemental supervision, as well, so we meet as a group.  Hope this was helpful!
